Sat., June 20

BOOK SIGNING — Willis Monie Books will be hosting a book signing from 1-2 p.m. for the book ``The Deal is On Strike Three’’ written by Peter Fertig and Rudy Saviano. There is an introduction written by baseball hall of famer Bob Feller. Fertig and Saviano will be appearing at Willis Monie Books to sign books from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. As a special bonus, Bob Feller will also be signing from 1- 2 p.m. Willis Monie Books is located at 139 Main Street in Cooperstown.

MARKET — The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, located behind Key Bank off Main Street in Cooperstown is open from 8 a.m. to2 p.m.

BREAKFAST — The Middlefield Volunteer Fire Department and EAA Chapter 1070 will be holding a fly-in pancake breakfast at the Westville Airport, Route 166, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. It will be an allyou- can-eat event and the menu will include pancakes, eggs, real maple syrup, sausage, and beverages. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $4 for children under the age of 12.

Sun., June 21

BREAKFAST — The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Kateri Tekakwitha #2365 is hosting a Buffet Breakfast at Kateri Hall on Church Street in Cherry Valley. The hall, next to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, will be open from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Good will donations will be accepted.

BREAKFAST — Milford Post 1566 American Legion, Auxiliary and Sons of American Legion are hosting a breakfast buffet from 7 to 11 a.m. The all-youcan- eat buffet is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10-years-old. The menu will consist of French toast, pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuits, home fries, eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, muffins, coffee, tea and juice.

Wed., June 24

FILM — Fenimore Art Museum presents ``Americans Abroad - Summer Outdoor Film Series’’ featuring ``The Talented Mr. Ripley’’ (1999, 139 minutes, R). (1953, 119 minutes, NR). The film will be shown directly behind the Museum’s terrace and seating will be available on the lawn, which overlooks Otsego Lake. Games and snacks begin at 7:30 p.m., movie starts at 8 p.m. Guests should bring their own blankets or chairs. Snacks can be purchased or bring your own. Cost is $5/ person members, $7/person non-members.

PRESENTATION — Glenn Linsenbardt, the guest speaker for the Fly Creek Area Historical Society meeting will talk about fire towers throughout the area. The starts at 7 p.m. in the former Grange in Fly Creek. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.

BARBECUE — Susquehanna SPCA barbecue at Glimmerglass State Park,įkicks off at 4 p.m.įwith a social and cash bar and dinnerįserved from 5 to 7 p.m.į Attendees have use of the full park and well-mannered dogs on leashes are also invited. MARKET — The Cooperstown Farmers’ Market, located behind Key Bank off Main Street in Cooperstown is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

BLOOD DRIVE — American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, 25 Main St., Cooperstown. Anyone who donates on June 27 at the National Baseball Hall of Fame will receive free admission on that day. For more information, call the Bassett Clinical Laboratory office at 547-6933.

Sun., June 28

BREAKFAST — The Cooperstown Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its Fourth Sunday Community Breakfast at the firehall on Chestnut Street from 8 to 11 a.m. The breakfast menu includes fruit salad, eggs, eggs and cheese, bacon, sausage, French toast and features `Savor New York’s’ pancakes. A freewill donation will be accepted.

WELCOME — The Glimmerglass Opera Guild is hosting a reception for David Angus, who joined the Glimmerglass Opera as Music Director in November 2008, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. This welcoming event will be held on the deck of the Opera’s administration building. Guild members and members of the community are invited.
