By MARK HANOK

On Friday a major storm will move to the Ohio Valley, while high pressure builds southward from eastern Canada. Skies will be partly sunny with highs from 55 to 60 degrees.

On Saturday, sections of the Southeast from Georgia to the Tennessee Valley will get much-needed rainfall.

Dry air will continue in place over the Northeast, with partly sunny skies and highs in the low 50s.

As a cold front crosses central New York on Sunday, look for a few rain showers, otherwise variable cloudiness with some sunshine and highs from 50 to 55.

A northwesterly flow of cooler air will take over on Monday, with intervals of clouds and sunshine, the chance of rain or snow showers, and highs in the mid- 40s.

Milder air will return on Tuesday with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 50s.
