---- — Vin Scully, the voice of the Dodgers and 1982 Ford C. Frick Award winner, has joined the lineup of special guests for the Aug. 2, 2014 celebration concert to honor the 75th Anniversary of the National Baseball Hall Of Fame and Museum.

Scully will record the introduction and opening segment of the concert that will include the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, which will serve as the “house band” for the 75th Anniversary Concert.

“The Hall of Fame is the cathedral of baseball, and it is an honor to be a part of the 75th Anniversary Concert in Cooperstown,” said Scully, who will broadcast Dodgers games for the 65th consecutive year in 2014. “This memorable event will be a fitting celebration of the National Pastime and the Museum that preserves the legacy of the game.”

The concert will be produced by LGH19 Productions and will be part of a 14-month musical celebration that includes an ongoing silent auction to benefit the National Baseball Hall Of Fame and Museum. VIP tickets can be purchased on the official concert website

The live event will feature some of the music industry’s top recording artists, as well as celebrities from the world of film, television and baseball, and take place in Cooperstown, N.Y., on the pastoral grounds of the Clark Sports Center in a benefit for the National Baseball Hall Of Fame and Museum, just weeks after its 75th Anniversary.

Some of the organizations participating in the celebration include Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, which has produced limited edition Baseball Hall of Fame Fender Stratocaster guitars; Peanuts Worldwide and Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates, which has created 75 limited edition Baseball Hall of Fame Peanuts Posters; as well as Charitybuzz, which will host the silent auction.
