Wildcats season ends at Davenport

“We had some opportunities we didn’t capitalize on (in the first half),” CV-S coach Terri Adams said. “The wind was against us. We had those chances we didn’t finish on and then late in the first half we got one. At halftime, we talked about some things, worked our short passing game, pressure the ball and got three goals.”

Ben Drugatz made it 2-0 with 33:26 left. He scored on a rebound after an initial shot was bobbed by the goalie.

Pressly scored 10 minutes later and Russo capped the scoring.

“We kept it to the feet and our defense was solid,” Adams said of her 16-1 Tri-Valley League title-winning squad. “We moved as a unit, supported every unit and it was a total team effort.”
