Trosset finishes seventh in championship

Cooperstown’s Teddy Trosset tied for seventh Saturday in the 2013 Northeastern New York Junior Golf Tournament Championship at the Glens Fall Country Club in Queensbury.

Trosset shot an 89 on the 18 hole, Par 71 course. He shot 45 on the front nine and 44 on the back nine.

Trosset tied Kyle Grzbowski of Clifton Park.

Grayson DeMarco of Saratoga Springs won the Boys 13-15 event with an 82. DeMarco shot a 40 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine to edge Alex Bond of Broadalbin, Andrew Losey of Wilton and Carter Fritch of Gansevoort, who all shot 83.

Trosset finished the 11-tournament summer tour 12th out of 49 golfers with 310.50 points.
