Four Hawkeyes named to All-Star teams

---- — Four Cooperstown Hawkeyes earned spots on the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League’s postseason All-Star teams, which were released Monday.

Starting pitcher Eann Cox and utility player Nate Lotze were named to the First Team for the Hawkeyes, who received Second Team selections in second baseman Ben Hall and designated hitter Cameron Day.

Cox, named the PGCBL’s Pitcher of the Year last week, went 5-0 with a 2.23 ERA. He struck out 55 and walked 16 over 48 1/3 innings.

Lotze hit .362 with one home run and 12 RBIs.

Hall hit .302 with a team-best four home runs. He drove in 13 runs.

Day finished with a .353 batting average and had a team-high 18 RBIs.

Cooperstown was last in the East Division with an 18-25 record.
