Wait said he became part of the BOE because he “wanted to give the taxpayers an adequate voice.”
Wait has been a board member since 2012.
“The board over the past couple years has been more focused on delivering a better product to the students,” Wait said. “We have a very good board now.”
Wait said he takes this responsibility seriously and does as much research on the issues in Cherry Valley-Springfield as possible, he said.
“I’d like to give the students of our small community every opportunity we can while still remaining fiscally responsible to our tax payers,” Wait said.
Wait said he follows three guidelines when making Board related decisions:
“Is it good for the kids, is good for our staff and is it responsible for our tax payers?,” Wait said.
