The 10th annual Cabin Fever Film Series is now underway.
A collaboration between The Glimmerglass Festival, Fenimore Art Museum and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum the film series brings a selection of classic and contemporary films to Cooperstown in January and Early February.
Films are shown either at the Fenimore Art Museum Auditorium or at the Hall of Fame’s Grandstand Theater on Fridays at 7 p.m. Admission to these screenings is free and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments are sold at the screenings, the proceeds from which go to benefit the local food pantry. Augur’s Books also raffles a book at each screening that ties in with the movie shown.
The series started off this year on Jan. 3, with the 2003 film “Girl with a Pearl Earring.” The schedule for the remaining films in the series is as follows:
Jan. 10: A Place in the Sun (NR, 1951) at the Fenimore Art Museum Auditorium.
Jan. 17: The Avengers (PG-13, 2012) at the National Baseball Hall of Fame Grandstand Theater.
Jan. 24: Exit Through the Gift Shop (R, 2010) at the Fenimore Art Museum Auditorium.
Jan. 31: Madame Butterfly (NR, 1932) at the Fenimore Art Museum Auditorium.
Feb. 7: Mulan (G, 1998) at the National Baseball Hall of Fame Grandstand Theater.
