On Saturday, Dec. 8, there will be a Christmas Celebration of Irish Dance. This event takes place at the Community Center in Hartwick. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and the recital will start at 2 p.m. Refreshments will follow the recital. For more information about the recital, call Kathleen O’Donnell at 293-6199.
The following day, the Hartwick Historical District will have a Holiday Cookie Sale at the Community Center from 1 to 3 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $1 for coffee/tea and cookies, or $3 for a dozen assorted cookies. On Friday, Dec, 14, the first Hartwick Community Cookie Exchange will take place at the Hartwick Fire Department. This event is open to all residents of Hartwick. Participants are asked to bring six dozen cookies to share, and leave with approximately the same. There will be an appetizer buffet, hot chocolate, cider, coffee, etc. Children’s activities will be available. Prizes will be given for the prettiest cookie/display, best Christmas outfit and much more. RSVP with Barb Potter at 293-7558, or Elizabeth O’Brien at 293-6874 by Dec. 7. The event is free.
On Saturday, Dec. 15, the Hartwick Fire Department Auxiliary and Hartwick Veterans Club Auxiliary will host their annual Children’s Christmas Party. This event will take place at the Community Center in Hartwick from 1 to 3 p.m. The event will include children’s activities, refreshments, a visit from Santa, and more. The First Baptist Church in Hartwick will have dinner and a movie starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22. Participants are asked to bring a dish to pass. Call Pastor Phillip Sell at 293-8168 for additional information.
