Farmers' Museum announces results of 17th annual benefit horse show

On Sunday, June 9, equestrians from around the region participated in the 17th annual Farmers’ Museum Benefit Horse Show, held at the Iroquois Farm Showgrounds on River Road, just outside the village of Cooperstown.

Division championships were awarded to the following riders:

Green Hunter Division

Champion – Alexa Harris - Winsome

Reserve Champion – Annie Walsh – Terian’s What A Fox

Adult Hunter Division

Champion – Ava Gurney - Gianni

Reserve Champion – Lisa Pattison - Alikat

Open Equitation Division

Champion – Taylor Trombley

Reserve Champion – Emily Kuhlmann

Children’s Hunter Division

Champion – Allison Muller – Ava Gurney - Gianni

Reserve Champion – Annie Walsh – Teriann’s What A Fox

Open Hunter Division

Champion – Taylor Trombley - Dominator

Reserve Champion – Alexa Harris - Gratitude

Pleasure Division

Champion – Megan Daly – OSU Sonny Bar Lucky

Jennifer Gurney - Clemintine

Low Equitation Division

Champion – Kelly Weeks

Reserve Champions – Emma Navone & Avalon Kubis

Special Hunter Division

Champion – Kelly Weeks – Assigned Risk

Reserve Champion – Emma Navone – Holly Go Lightly

Walk-Trot Division

Champion – Jennine Brewer – Kay Cees Lucky Charm

Reserve Champions – Brad Davidson – Althea Told Me and

Beginner Division

Champion – Eliza Gurney – Hilcrest Blue Cwilt

Reserve Champion – Lexi Lamb – Class Only

Special awards were given as follows:

The Josef Neckermann Perpetual Trophy (for Best Child Rider)

Kelly Weeks – Oneonta

The John Moffat Perpetual Trophy

Taylor Trombley – Oneonta

The Coral Island Perpetual Trophy

Gianni – ridden by Jennifer Gurney

The Farmers’ Museum Good Sportsmanship Award. For a rider, trainer or parent who exemplifies good conduct, character and overall good sportsmanship.

2013 recipient: Brad Davidson – Laurens

Thirty-eight classes in the competition included open beginner hunter, children’s hunter, special hunter, adult hunter and open hunter under saddle and over fences. The equitation division included open, adult, children’s and beginner. The winners are as follows:

Class 1: Green Hunter Over Fences
