The 66th annual Junior Livestock Show was held Sunday through Tuesday, July 7 to 9, at the Iroquois Farm in Cooperstown. The show, sponsored by The Farmers’ Museum and conducted in cooperation with Cornell Cooperative Extension, county 4-H educators, and clubs throughout central New York, brings together youth handlers from a nine-county area for three days of competition.
There were more than 260 exhibitors and 600 animals.

Dairy cattle Grand Champions were awarded in the Ayrshire division to Jack Vunk of Otsego, who showed Dutch-Ayr Burdette’s Misery; in the Brown Swiss division to Sharla Woodrow of Otsego, who showed Sunny Acres Denver Dilila; in the Guernsey division to Kara Evans of Chenango who showed Church Cinnamon Candy; in the Jersey division to Mariah Goodwin of Otsego, who showed SRF Saturn Moonbeam; and in the Milking Shorthorn division to Jack Vunk of Otsego, who showed Hickory Hills Crystals Ruby.
In the Best Bred and Owned division, the award in the Ayrshire category went to Josiah Steele of Delaware, with Steele Acres B Fiona; in the Brown Swiss category to Justin Ryon of Scoharie, with Honorone Bobacious; in the Jersey category to Sharla Woodrow of Otsego, with Sharmica Jacinto Marty; in the Milking Shorthorn division to Kaleigh Spencer of Otsego, with KMS-Dream Sam Bess; in the he Dairy Goat category went to Kristi Abrams of Chenango, with Kriter Kountry L. Starbright; in the Swine Category Kaleigh Fairchild of Chenango, with SDKB2 Gold Miss 12-5.
Showmanship Championships were earned by the following: Reserve Grand Champion Showman Cody Sears of Schoharie; in the Dairy Goat division: Grand Champion Showman Michaela Brandt of Chenango, Reserve Grand Champion Showman Justin Graham of Chenango; in the Sheep division: Reserve Grand Champion Showman to Ben Parfitt of Chenango. In the Beef division: Grand Champion Showman to Aaron Schubert of Delaware.
