The trolley system for the village of Cooperstown will only be operating on weekends until further notice.
According to mayor Jeff Katz, the trolley system will most likely not be operational during the week until schools let out.
He said there has been issues hiring drivers and since most of the trolley drivers who have been hired are also school bus drivers they are unavailable.
“It is not the best situation,” Katz said.
Generally, from June 3 through Labor Day (Sept. 1), the trolleys run daily from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to the village website.
