Now co-sponsored by Jordanville Public Library and the Federated Church, the dinner was initiated as a fundraiser for the Library 104 years ago, following the construction and opening of the new library building. It was moved to the church when the Social Hall and kitchen were added in 1961.
Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 11, and free for children younger than 5. There is a 50-cent fee for takeouts.
Maple farm tour planned
A maple farm and sugarbush tour is planned 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Breezie Maples Farm at 2269 County Highway 34 in Westford. The public is invited.
The event will include a tour of the farm followed by a discussion on marketing opportunities for maple operations. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch. The event fee is $10 per person.
This event is sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension Schoharie and Otsego Counties. Breezie Maples Farm, is the largest producer of certified organic maple syrup in New York and offers a range of other specialty maple products.

College, Career Days planned
Otsego Northern Catskills Board of Cooperative Educational Services will host its annual College and Career Days on Nov. 7 at the Otsego Area Occupational Center in Milford and Nov. 8 at the Northern Catskills Occupational Center in Grand Gorge.
Organizers are expecting recruiters from colleges, the military and local businesses, according to a media release.

OFA to host driving course
The Otsego County Office for the Aging will sponsor an AARP Driver Safety Course. It will be held at the Meadows at 140 County Highway 33 near Cooperstown. The class will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8. Refreshments will be provided during the 10-minute breaks. There will be a half-hour break somewhere around 12:30 p.m. for a lunch, which will not be provided.
