On Monday afternoons from May 20 to July 15 between 1 and 3 p.m., Jamison will teach “Watercolor Techniques.” Students in this class will have the opportunity to try out watercolor techniques such as wet-in-wet, masking, the use of transparency and color mixing. Subject matter will include portrait, landscape and still life. Photos will be employed along with demonstrations. The course fee for this class is $110 for members and $115 for non-members.
Lastly, L. David Pye will be teaching an one-day “Stained Glass Workshop” on Saturday, June 1 to provide an introduction to this centuries-old art form. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. he will follow an overview of historical and contemporary history of stained glass artistry, fundamental concepts of pattern design, cutting, and joining of glass pieces of various colors. Enrolled students will assemble a framed stained-glass art piece suitable for a window display in the home or office. All tools, equipment and colored glass pieces are provided as part of the class. The cost for this workshop is $190 for members and $195 for non-members.
