CCS seeks community input on technology

Staff Report
Cooperstown Crier

---- — The Cooperstown Central School District is seeking community input through an online technology survey.

Realizing that the effective use of 21st Century skill sets will be essential to Cooperstown graduates’ success, the district has undertaken a technology audit with the assistance of Dr. Michael Radlick of Learning Technology Visions, LLC. Part of the audit process involves obtaining information from community members regarding impressions of the district’s resource base, current levels of connectivity by township and thoughts on potential target areas for improvement.

People can share their perspective on educational technology utilization by visiting https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Cooperstown_Parent. The link is currently available on the district website, cooperstowncs.org. Students in grades 4-12 will also have the opportunity to share their views via classroom survey.

Individuals without web access, or those who prefer a paper version of the survey, can obtain a hard-copy in either the elementary or middle-high school offices or by calling 547-2401. The survey will remain open until Friday, May 31. Once the survey information has been compiled and analyzed, Radlick will make a presentation outlining his findings at 7 p.m. at the June 12 board of education meeting. The meeting is open to the public.
