Staff Report
The Observer-Dispatch’s
loss is the Hall of Fame’s
gain.
Longtime O-D sports editor
Craig Muder joined the
museum’s staff on Monday
as its director of communications.
Muder replaces Brad
Horn, who was promoted to
senior director of communications
and education.
Muder grew up in Ohio
and worked for a newspaper
there before becoming sports
editor of Utica’s daily newspaper
``It was a tough decision to
leave the paper, but this is a
dream job for me,’’ Muder
said Tuesday afternoon.
``Ever since I was 10-yearsold
sitting at home reading
Baseball Encyclopedia, working
at the Hall of Fame is
something I’ve dreamt about.
Everything I’ve done, from
writing and editing to my
love of baseball, has led me
to here.’’
Muder, who is a devoted
Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers
fan, lives in New Hartford
with his wife, Cindy,
and daughters Sarah, 11,
and Elyse, 9.
