Bowling league plans meeting
The Monday Nite Owls Bowling League will have its opening night for the 2012-13 season on Sept. 17. Anyone interested should arrive at the Clark Sports Center at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Matt Curtis 221-3544.
Hours at HOF have changed
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will resume its regular hours of operation.
As of Labor Day, the museum will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Hall of Fame is open seven days a week year round, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
The Hall of Fame will resume its summer-season hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting Memorial Day Weekend 2013.
The museum will host several programs in the coming weeks, including the Sept. 28-30 Baseball Film Festival; and its annual Character and Courage Weekend Oct. 5-7. For more information on these events, visit www.baseballhall.org.
Museum ticket prices are $19.50 for adults (13 and over), $12 for seniors (65 and over) and for those holding current memberships in the VFW, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and AMVets organizations, and $7 for juniors (ages 7-12). Members are always admitted free of charge and there is no charge for children 6 years of age or younger. Golf tournament planned
The Milford Foundation’s fourth annual golf tournament will be held on Set. 15. It will take on a captain and crew format. The event will begin at 8 a.m. at the Ouleout Golf Course in Franklin. There is a $450 fee, which includes cart, green fees, food and prizes. To register call the MEF office at 286-7721 ext. 8408.
