at New York Mills


Emily Calkins won the 100, the 200 and the long jump to help Cooperstown’s girls to Center State Conference victories over Canastota and New York Mills. Calkins won the 100 in 13.5, the 200 in 28.4 and long jumped 14-11 ½.

Kristin Ratliff and Kesley Lent swept the hurdles for Cooperstown. Ratliff won the 100 hurdles in 17.2. Lent won the 400 hurdles in 1:13.6.

Dustin Collins’ three-win day included a 41-foot, 1 ½-inch triple jump as Cherry Valley-Springfield won a Tri-Valley League track meet.

The Patriots finished with 91 points. Gilbertsville-Mount Upton/Morris finished with second with 36.5.

Collins also cleared 5-8 in the high jump and won the 400-meter hurdles in 1 minute, 8.1 seconds.

On the girls’ side, CV-S and G-MU/M tied with 62 points. Olivia Preston and Roberta Zaccagnino had two wins apiece for the Patriots. Preston won the 1,500 and 3,000, and Zaccagnino swept the hurdles events.

at Milford


Hannah Saggese won two events and anchored two winning relay teams, and Josh Bush won two events as Milford swept a Tri-Valley League meet.

Saggese won the 400- and 800-meter races with times of 1:08.33 and 2:45.68, respectively. Keira Higgins also won two events for the Wildcats, the 1,500 and 3,000.

Bush’s wins came in the shot put (34-0) and discus (97-6).

at Cooperstown


Liz Millea, Kristin Ratliff and Lucy Ford won two events apiece to lead host Cooperstown to victories over Sherburne-Earlville (83-56) and Oriskany (103-25).

Millea swept the sprints with a 13.9 in the 100 and a 29.3 in the 200. Ratliff swept the hurdles, winning the 100 in 17.4 and the 400 in 1:11.8. Ford’s double came in the high jump (5-2) and the shot put (30-9).

Cooperstown also received victories from Hayley White (400, 1:08.0), Samantha Fanion (3,000, 11:50.2), and Suzy Zhang (triple jump, 28-5).

On the boys’ side, Jacob Miller and Max Bonderoff won two events apiece Wednesday to lead Cooperstown to victories over Sherburne-Earlville (117-15) and Oriskany (111-22).
