Milford dominates Franklin again

---- — Unbeaten Milford went on a 14-0 spurt in the second quarter en route to a Tri-Valley League victory at home.

“The second quarter was the difference,” Milford coach Frank Spurchise said of his squad holding Franklin scoreless in the period to take a 28-9 halftime lead. “We played really well defensively.”

Max Lang scored a game-high 17 points, 11 coming in the first quarter as Milford took a 14-9 lead. He also grabbed eight rebounds.

Peyton Griffiths contributed 12 points for the Wildcats (6-0, 4-0), who will play South Kortright in the Laurens Christmas Tournament on Friday.

Derek Beers’ seven points paced the Purple Devils.
