West Canada Valley runs past Cooperstown

Dolgeville next up for CCS football

(Continued)

For Cooperstown (0-2, 0-2), the next game will likely be just as tough as the last game as it visits Dolgeville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils beat Cooperstown 49-2 last season, and have started 2-0 this season.

On Friday, they beat Herkimer 7-6, one week after the Magicians shut out West Canada Valley. The Blue Devils shut out Herkimer’s offense and led 7-0 most of the game. Late in the fourth quarter, Dan Appley scored on a 15-yard fumble return for Herkimer, but Dolgeville stopped the two-point conversion to win the game.

On Sept. 7, Dolgeville beat Morrisville-Eaton/Hamilton 42-11.
