---- — The Clark Sports Center held its ninth annual Patrick C. Fetterman Tournament from Jan. 19 to 21 .
The tournament, which started in 2005, was named for Pat Fetterman. Pat was the long-time associate director at the Clark Sports Center and is credited with starting the youth basketball program.
According to organizers, the tournament was created to give sixth-graders a chance to come together for a weekend of basketball, fun and making new friends. There were six boys teams and six girls teams that participated.
This year, The Clark Sports Center boys team finished second with a 45-33 loss to Cobleskill in the championships. Jack Lambert scored 22 points and was named to the All Tournament Team.
Donovan Pacatte scored 17 for Cobleskill and was named MVP of the tournament.
The boys also beat St. Johnsville, 38-20, and Cazenovia, 41-20, to make it to the semifinals.
In the semifinals it was the CSC boys edging out Ilion 30-29 to make it to the finals. Jack Lambert scored 16 and Kyle Santello had eight in the win. Santello was given the sportsmanship award.
Jack Brundage from St. Johnsville, Derek Lindsey from Herkimer and Joe DeChristopher also were named to the All-Tournament Team.
In the girls division it was the Clark Sports Center taking first with a 24-10 win over Frankfort. Lauren Vibbard had six points in the win and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Charlotte Rodio also had six points for Frankfort and also made the All-Tournament Team.
The CSC girls won their first two games over Cobleskill, 21-15, and Ilion, 30-8, to reach the semifinals. In the semis the girls beat New Hartford, 28-9, to reach the championship. Delaney Holohan had seven points.
Emilee Perez from the Clark Sports Center was named MVP. Other All Tournament Team players were Sofia Roberts from New Hartford, Katelynn Manchester from Cobleskill, and Gianna Desarro of Frankfort. Kate Trosset from CSC was given the sportsmanship award.
