The National Baseball Hall of Fame will be hosting an open house for Otsego County Residents on Nov. 19.
The open house will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. at the museum and refreshments will be served. Hall of Fame President Jeff Idelson will be previewing the Museum’s 75th Anniversary season plans at the event. They include the May 23-25 Hall of Fame Classic Weekend; the June 12 75th Anniversary Celebration; the July 25-28 Hall of Fame Weekend; and the Aug. 2, 75th Anniversary Concert.
During the open house, the museum will also be unveiling a new photo exhibit. “Picturing America’s Pastime,” will be located on the museum’s third floor. It will feature more than 50 photographic images showing the depth and breadth of the Hall of Fame’s collection of 250,000 original images. The exhibition will also feature 16 artifacts connected to the displayed images. “Picturing America’s Pastime,” will be on display in Cooperstown throughout 2014.
