Milford 14, Schenevus 4


Milford scored four runs in the first inning and cruised to a road victory in the Tri-Valley League.

Wyatt Waters, Jacob Tabor, Blake Elliott (two RBIs) and Austin Brown each had two hits to lead a balanced Wildcat attack.

Jacob Darling led Schenevus with two hits and two runs scored.

Shawn Lowry struck out 13 and overcame 10 walks in a three-hitter as Cherry Valley-Springfield won in the Tri-Valley League.

Justin Monahan finished with two hits and an RBI, and teammate Pat Reid had three hits for the Patriots, who led, 4-1, after three innings.

Milford 7, Laurens 6

4/26 Host Milford rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to win in the Tri-Valley League.

After Laurens benefited from two errors in the top of the seventh to take a 6-4 lead, Paul Van Warner’s RBI triple made it a one run game. Van Warner then scored on a passed ball to tie the score at 6. Wyatt Waters followed with the second of his two doubles and went to third on a groundout. Waters scored the winning run on a passed ball.

Milford also scored three runs in the sixth inning to tie the score at 4. Blake Elliott hit a two-run triple in the inning.

Peyton Griffiths had four hits, and Waters and Stephen Banks each had two hits for Milford.

Mitchell Corrigan and Mason Weir had two hits apiece for Laurens, which received seven strikeouts and no walks from losing pitcher Mitchel Barra.
