No. 5 seed M-PH beat Tully in the quarterfinals.
The remaining local teams were eliminated from the playoffs last week. Milford’s boys and girls both lost quarterfinal games while the girls from CV-S and Cooperstown were both beaten in the first round.
Milford’s girls lost to host Franklin on Saturday, 2-1, on a late goal by Marissa Cowley. Hannah Saggese had tied the game for Milford (11-3-3) with 14 minutes left in the first half heading in a direct kick from Francesca Green.
Cowley scored the game winner with just more than nine minutes left in the game. Jessie Downin had scored the first goal, 5:43 into the game, on a corner kick from Mariah McNeily.
The Milford girls had advanced over Stamford 4-1 last Wednesday. Saggese had two goals in the win.
The Wildcat boys lost Friday in a night game at Elmira Notre Dame 2-1. Elijah Coley scored off a pass from Peyton Griffiths for Milford (9-5-2). Notre Dame got two goals from Alex Nassar.
The CV-S girls lost, 2-0, to Davenport last Wednesday in Cherry Valley. Sarah Haight had two assists on goals by Bailee and Kacie Hymers.
Cooperstown lost last Tuesday at Waterville.
