Fall/winter futsal season wraps up
The Clark Sports Center wrapped up its last night of the fall/winter futsal season on Sunday.
In game one it was El Nino over Nemesis, 11-4. Hisham Abdallah had three goals in the win.
In game two it was New York Central Mutual over Some Knees, 11-2. Mike Cook had five goals in the win.
In game three it was Nicolettas over Unchained, 2-1. Mark Andrews had a goal in the win.
In game four it was Coop United over Timberworks, 11-2. Chad Welch had three goals in the win.
El Nino was the winner of the league by one point over second-place Nicolettas.
Johhny Fernedez was the top male scorer. Cheryl Robinson was the top female scorer.
Hitting clinic planned
Herkimer County Community College’s baseball team will hold four hitting clinics to prepare for the upcoming season. Herkimer’s spring training will include working on fundamentals and video analysis of each hitter’s swing. The clinic will run Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. on February 9, 16, 23 and March 2.
The cost to attend is $10 with registration at the clinic; no preregistration required. Spots are not limited and all ages are welcome. The clinic will be held in the varsity gym at HCCC.

Cooperstown seeking nominations
Cooperstown Central is accepting nominations for its Athletics Hall of Fame, which will induct its Class of 2013 in the fall.
Nominations are due by Feb. 18.

CSC accepting Futsal registrations
The Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown is taking registration for its Individual Winter/Spring Futsal League, which will run Sunday nights.
Cost is $60 for non-members and $25 for members. Players must be at least age 18 and out of high school.
