BASE Race is planned
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, along with Cooperstown’s Clark Sports Center, will join forces again in August for the second annual BASE Race, with a new date of Sunday, Aug. 11. The BASE Race in 2012 had more than 300 runners in the Saturday event.

Also new for 2013, the Hall of Fame and the Clark Sports Center will host a Saturday evening pre-race gathering for runners at the Baseball Hall of Fame, with food, entertainment and baseball telecasts.
Those who pre-register for the event will be able to pick up race materials all day on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and may join the pre-race festivities at the museum.
Raffles and other prizes will be awarded throughout the event.
Registration is $25 for adults and $50 for families until race day, when registration will be $40 for individuals and $65 for families. Registration can be done at www.baseballhall.org/BASERace and www.clarksportscenter.com.
