Peyton Griffiths had three goals and one assist in Milford’s Tri-Valley League victory.

Griffiths, who had his second three-goal game of the season, opened the scoring three minutes into play.

“They’re definitely solid,” Schenevus coach Jim Huntington said of Milford, which is 3-0. “Their front five or six, they’re very strong.”

Michael Strenck also scored for the Wildcats.

Robert Burton made 12 saves for Schenevus (1-2-1).

Ryan Jaquay opened the scoring 23:55 into the match, sparking a four-goal first half for Cherry Valley-Springfield in a Tri-Valley League home win under the lights.

Wyatt Crowley, Jake Spencer and Dan Bosma also scored in the first half for the Patriots (2-0, 2-0), who finished with a 21-1 advantage in shots.

Spencer contributed a second-half goal for CV-S, which travels to Milford on Friday. .

Spencer scored off a cross from Ben Drugatz with 25:36 left in the first half. Bosma chipped the ball over Schenevus goalie Robert Burton with 25:22 to go.

Dave Vosatka scored off a penalty kick for the Dragons.
