Cooperstown will be the seventh seed for the Section Four Class C Tournament and will host a first-round game against No. 10 Waterville at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The winner advances to a quarterfinal at No. 2 Hamilton on Friday.

Cooperstown beat Waterville twice during the regular season, 3-0 and 1-0.

Sauquoit Tournament

Katie Kleban and Jordian Siver earned all-tournament selections for Cooperstown, which was outscored, 14-0, in two weekend games during the Sauquoit Valley Tournament.

Kleban made 27 saves for Cooperstown in a 6-0 loss to the host school during Friday’s opening round. She also had 14 saves in an 8-0 consolation loss to Central Valley.

SV (14-2), which is the top seed for the upcoming Section Three Class C-1 Tournament, outshot Cooperstown, 35-5. Central Valley, which is seeded second for the Class A sectionals, finished with a 22-2 edge in shots.

Cooperstown drew the No. 6 seed for the C-1 sectionals and will visit No. 3 Tully (14-2) for a quarterfinal at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Dolgeville 4, Cooperstown 3

Liz Millea scored twice, but Cooperstown lost a Center State Conference game on the road.

Sarah George had two goals for Dolgeville, including the winner with 7:43 left. George’s second goal came about 13 minutes after Jordian Siver shook a triple-team to knot the score at 3.

Jen Flynn and Maggie Hall had assists for Cooperstown (8-5-1, 4-5-1), which will play the host team in the Sauquoit Valley Tournament at 7:15 p.m. Friday. Central Valley and New Hartford will meet in the other first-round game. The consolation game is slated for 4 p.m. Saturday, followed by the championship at 6 p.m.

Madison Allen won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 breaststroke to lead host Oneonta to a non-league victory.

Allen touched in 20.79 seconds in the 50 free and won the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.62. Abby M. Miller contributed a win in the 200 free (2:14.38) for Oneonta, which took the 200 medley relay in 2:08.55.

Sisters Tessa and Eden Griger won two events apiece for Cooperstown. Tessa Griger won the 100 butterfly (1:07.06) and the 100 backstroke (1:07.6). Eden Griger finished first in the 100 free (58.76) and the 200 individual medley (2:26.91).

Cooperstown, which won the 200 free and 400 free relays, also received victories from Catherine Borgstrom in diving (152 points) and Lindsay Harloff in the 500 free (6:00.26).

Ken Roberts finished 10th to pace Cooperstown, which lost twice during a non-league tri-meet at Holland Patent.

Roberts covered the 3.1-mile course in 21:50 for Cooperstown (8-10), which fell to Holland Patent (15-48) and Central Valley (18-43). HP’s Barrett Selecki won in 17:22.

Sylvia Johnson led Cooperstown’s incomplete girls team with a 17th-place finish in 30:46.
