Second arrest made for animal cruelty
Otsego County deputies made a second arrest in their investigation into animal abuse in Milford.
Deputies said they responded Jan. 3 in a case involving care for three dogs and three cats in the town of Milford, where the animals had been left in a house without food, water or other attention.
Edward P. Huntington, 50, of Philmont, was charged Jan. 4 with torturing or injuring animals, failure to provide sustenance, a media release said. He was issued a ticket to appear in court Jan. 16.
Deputies said they were investigating a complaint about animal cruelty at 2515 State Highway 28 in the town of Milford.
Kayleigh A. Huntington, 20, Philmont, also was arrested on the same charge, according to deputies, who said the animals were seized and placed at a shelter.
