But until then, we shall be spending the weeks ahead slowly getting back into the comings and goings of Cooperstown. We certainly are not ready to try to attend the program being presented this evening by Party of Two, the duo of DJ Potter, vocalist, and JoAnn Chmielowski, pianist at 7 p.m. at Woodside Hall. However, we do think a selection of jazz standards, contemporary rock, Broadway and international music would be most enjoyable. The program is open to the public. For more information please contact Deborah Ziegler, Director of Community Relations at Woodside Hall, at either her office number 547-0600 or her cell number 373-7817.
However we are ever hopeful that we will make the next meeting of the Literary Discussion Group to be held on Thursday, April 24 at 2:30 p.m. at the Cooperstown Village Library. The book for the month will be “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich” by Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Discussion of the book will be lead by Ellen Bonhote. That meeting too is open to the public.
In the meantime, we will continue penning, on a weekly basis, this column. And if our recent somewhat limited travels around town are any indication, we suspect there just might be any number of issues which might be worthy of discussion. Please let us know if there is anything in particular we might discuss such as which street in the village really sports the worst pothole.
