- See Young Artists master their craft The Glimmerglass Festival season is winding down to an end, but it is not too late to catch a special performance put together by the organization's Young Artists.
- Low test scores not jaw dropping Test scores for students in third through eighth grade plunged in the first year of new, tougher standardized tests. The significant drop was expected.
- Roses Roses to Dr. Joseph Dutkowsky and his wife, Karen, for their many years of commitment to Cotillion.
- Lackluster weekend not a shocker It was not surprising to see such a small crowd for Induction Weekend, as there was much skepticism leading to what is typically the busiest weekend in Cooperstown.
- Thanks for sharing your experiences We would like to thank those who participated in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program and contributed columns to the Cooperstown Crier. You all had wonderful stories to tell about your time spent overseas and we appreciate the time and effort you took to share those experiences with members of your local community. We hope you all had a great time and have a smooth adjustment back home.
Getting a plaque is not supposed to be easy
The Baseball Hall of Fame's annual Induction Weekend is by far the biggest event in Cooperstown each year.
- A happy ending in search for boy Far too often a search for a missing person does not conclude with a happy ending. We are happy to report that was not the case Monday in Cooperstown.
- Have a safe and fun Fourth of July In honor of "the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air," our local skies will light up with fireworks this Fourth of July holiday weekend. However, the holiday falls on a Thursday this year, resulting in an awkward work schedule for many. Perhaps some will be extremely lucky and have a four-day weekend.
- Happy 10 years of heart care Ten years ago, thousands of people living in the eight-county region served by Bassett Medical Center in rural upstate New York had few choices when it came to advanced heart care.
