Summer concerts set at Lakefront

COOPERSTOWN — The Cooperstown Lakefront Concert Series has returned with free live music from the bandstand at Lakefront Park at 1 Pioneer St. in Cooperstown from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays in July and August.

Concert goers are encouraged to bring folding chairs, blankets and picnic suppers.

Richfield to have Wednesday concerts

RICHFIELD SPRINGS — Concerts in the Park will return to Richfield Springs this summer at 7 p.m. Wednesdays in Spring Park on U.S. Route 20.

According to a media release, sponsored by the Richfield Springs Area Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Village of Richfield Springs, the free concerts will be held in the park’s historic bandstand. Attendees should bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule the concert and when repairs to the park pavilion are completed, concerts will be held there.

Reservations needed for roast pork dinner

MIDDLEFIELD — The Middlefield Baptist Church at 121 Rezen Road in Middlefield will accept reservations for its Friday, July 30 donation takeout summer roast pork dinner until Tuesday, July 20, or the limit of 100 dinners has been reached. Dinners may be picked up at 5 p.m.

Center to host two circus performances

PHOENIX MILLS — Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Phoenix Mills Cross Road will present A Night at the Circus on its grounds at 5 and 8 p.m. Friday, July 16, for the community. Each show will last about 75 minutes.

According to a media release, seating is limited. Those who plan to attend are advised to bring their own lawn chairs.

The Susquehanna SPCA will provide assistance and food vendors will also be on site from 5 p.m. on.

Events for seniors held twice weekly

COOPERSTOWN — The Cooperstown Senior Community Center is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in the red building behind St. Mary’s Church at 31 Elm St. in Cooperstown.

According to a media release, offerings include exercises classes, card games, Mahjong, trivia, conversation and speakers on Thursdays.

A calendar of events is posted at Tops, Price Chopper and the Village Library.

All COVID safety measures are followed including air filters.

Vendors sought for fall craft fair

RICHFIELD SPRINGS — Applications are being accepted for a craft fair to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Cullen Pumpkin Farm at 587 Cullen Road, just outside the village of Richfield Springs. The craft fair is being coordinated by the Church of Christ Uniting in Richfield Springs and will benefit its annual fundraising efforts.

Ommegang Fridays fill air with music

MIDDLEFIELD — When it isn’t raining, Brewery Ommegang’s Fire Pit Fridays continue to fill the air with music from 7 to 10 p.m. outside its Tap House. Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets if they intend to sit on the lawn. The Tap House café will provide table service on its patio for diners. There will also be an outdoor bar and food truck available. Purchases are not required to attend.

Performing next weather permitting will be Tailor Made on July 16; the Nate Gross Band on July 23; Hop City Hellcats on July 30; Woodshed Prophets on Aug. 6; Gridline on Aug. 13; Without a Net on Aug. 20; and Glass Pony on Aug. 27.

COVID-19 guidelines will be followed.
