The League of Women Voters of the Cooperstown Area has selected Quinn Lytel, a 10th grader at Cooperstown High School, its recipient of a $600 scholarship to attend this year’s Students Inside Albany program.

Sponsored by the Education Foundation of the League of Women Voters of New York State, the 20th annual Students Inside Albany program will take place from May 17 to 20 and will bring about 60 students from across the state to Albany.

According to a media release, the program is designed to increase awareness in high school students about representative government.

Sarah Callan of Milford was among seven students enrolled in SUNY Oneonta’s Cooperstown Graduate Program who traveled to Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, in the beginning of January for an 11-day field course called Museums, Landscapes, and Society in the Canary Islands.
