The Alexis P. Suter Band will make an encore performance for the Cooperstown Concert Series with a show at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 11 at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown.
It was almost 12 years ago to the day that Suter and her band brought their blend of blues, roots, soul and rock music to Cooperstown the first time, and concert organizers said the band drew hundreds to the first show.
Suter, a Brooklyn native, got her start in the Levon Helm Band, playing in the band’s Midnight Rambles in Woodstock, according to the band’s website. Her band grew out of that association, and they are frequently openers for Helm and his band.
Suter and her band are promoting a new album, “Be Love” and the video/singles, “SWAY,” and “Let It Be.”
According to the media release, when B.B. King met Suter, and performed with her, he said: ““It’s a rare thing to share the stage with great talent like that young lady.”
Tickets are available online at cooperstownconcertseries.org and locally at Ellsworth and Sill, Riverwood, Church & Scott Pharmacy and The Fly Creek General Store.
