Horseshoe Lounge Playboys to play

MILFORD — The Cooperstown Blues Express will present The Horseshoe Lounge Playboys on Saturday, July 6.

The train will start boarding at the Milford depot at 136 E. Main St. at 6:30 p.m. and leave at 7 p.m. It will return around 10 p.m. Those who attend must be 21 or older with a valid ID to ride. A cash bar will be available.

Laurens to host summer concert series

LAURENS — The village of Laurens will hold its ninth annual Summer Concert Series at 6 p.m. Wednesdays starting July 10, in Knapp Park in Laurens. The rest of the schedule is as follows: July 10, Rickety Fence; July 17, The Old Masters; July 24, Small Town Big Band; July 31, Fetish Lane; Aug. 7, Woodshed Prophets. In the event of rain, the concerts will be held in Laurens Central School’s multi-purpose room. The concerts are free and open to the public.

Rockabilly group to play in Cherry Valley

CHERRY VALLEY — Cherry Valley Artworks will present Lara Hope and the Ark-tones in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Star Theater at 44 Main St. in Cherry Valley. The group has produced two albums and, in 2017, Hope won the Ameripolitan Music Award for Best Female Rockabilly Artist. General admission is $15. For more information, visit cvartworks.org.

Harmonica band to perform July 25

PHOENIX MILLS — The Gilbertsville Baptist Church’s Randy’s Harptones will be guest entertainers at the Cooperstown Center Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Phoenix Mills at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25.

The nine-member harmonica band entertains with audience participation using a variety of harmonicas. The repertoire includes a selection of bluegrass, folk, hymns and patriotic songs.
