Talk topic to be ‘Ghosts of Versailles’ 

COOPERSTOWN — The next “Talking Opera” program will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, focusing on “The Ghosts of Versailles” Maestro Joseph Colaneri will return to discuss the second work he is conducting this season. Its composer, John Corigliano, is the festival’s Artist in Residence this summer. The presentation will takes place at Christ Episcopal Church Parish Hall at 69 Fair St. in Cooperstown. Talking Opera is hosted by the Guild of the Glimmerglass Festival and is open to the public and free of charge. Refreshments will be served.

Blake Fleming Trio to play June 14

CHERRY VALLEY — Cherry Valley Artworks will present The Blake Fleming Trio at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 14. The concert of new jazz will be at The Star Theater at 44 Main St. in Cherry Valley. Admission is $10. For more information, visit cvartworks.org.

 Soul Sky, guest to play on blues train

MILFORD — The Cooperstown Blues Express will presents Soul Sky with special guest Luke McNamee on Saturday, June 8. 

The train starts boarding at the Milford depot at 136 E. Main St. at 6:30 p.m. and leaves at 7 p.m. It returns around 10 p.m. Those who attend must be 21 or older with a valid ID to ride. A cash bar is available.
