Dealt The Blues bandto play Saturday on train
MILFORD — The Cooperstown Blues Express will present Dealt The Blues on Saturday, June 1.
Dealt The Blues plays an eclectic mix of blues and rock ‘n’ roll, from Willie Dixon to Muddy Waters, and Elmore James to Robert Johnson, as well classics.
The train starts boarding at the Milford Depot at 136 E. Main St. at 6:30 p.m. and leaves at 7 p.m. It returns around 10 p.m. Those who attend must be 21 or older with a valid ID to ride. A cash bar is available.

Author to speak at Fenimore Museum
COOPERSTOWN — Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown will host a talk with local author Libby Cudmore at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1.
Cudmore, managing editor of The Freeman’s Journal and Hometown Oneonta, will discusses how music and memory overlap to create our own rock icons, presenters said in a media release. Cudmore will talk as a music fan and about experiences as a critic for Paste, Albumism, Vinyl Me Please, and other outlets. She will also talk about how music is used as a backdrop in her novel, “The Big Rewind.” A book signing will follow the presentation. Entry to the talk is included with regular museum admission. Museum members and children 12 and under are admitted free.
The talk is part of the museum’s rock ‘n’ roll programming based on their highlight exhibition Herb Ritts: The Rock Portraits on view through Sept. 2.
