Bank of Cooperstown, a unit of USNY Bank, has announced that longtime banker Christine Amos has joined the bank as vice president of business development and lending officer.

According to a media release from  the bank, Amos has30 years of experience in the financial services field with area banks.

Most recently, she managed an $18 million loan portfolio as a 10-year business banker and loan underwriter. Before that, she oversaw a $5.5 million loan portfolio as a commercial  development officer. Prior tothat, she spent more than 16 years with a farm and residential mortgage lender.

A graduate of the SUNY Cobleskill, Amos has a bachelor’s degree in business. She also has an associate’s degree in business administration from Empire State College. During her career, she also has attended numerous business and lending-related seminars and courses.

In the community, she is a board member with the Susquehanna Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a member of the Executive Services Corp. and a member of the Friends of Glimmerglass State Park. She is also a notary public.
