The Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard’s 13th annual Big Squeeze Weekend raised $2,386 from Saturday’s cider sales for Bassett’s Cancer Institute through the Friends of Bassett, according to a media release from the cider mill.

Bassett’s Mobile Mammography Department was on hand to answer questions and schedule appointments for mammography throughout the day.

“We had a wonderful turnout for this fundraiser. It was a great start in promoting October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” Brenda Michaels, co-owner of the mill, said in the release. “Past Big Squeeze events raised funds for this mobile cancer screening coach and it is wonderful to see it back here in action.”
