The Art Garage at 689 Beaver Meadow Road near Cooperstown will host “INDIGO/BLUE summer extravaganza” from July 7 to  Aug. 10.

The two complementary shows will feature 18 artists.

The indoor-outdoor three–person indigo show will feature hand-dyed textiles — hangings, tableware scarves and more — by Middlefield artists Darius Homayounpour and Robert Seward and Ada Yonenaka, a part-time Middlefield resident, in the Main Gallery and Third Bay.

The group show “BLUE” will featuring painting, sculpture and ceramics by 15 artists, including Amy Canon, Tracy Helgeson, Roy Kortick and Elizabeth Nields. It will be in the Middle Bay.

 There will be an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. July 7 with live music and refreshments.  There will be a free artist talk at 5 p.m. July 11 on  “The History of Indigo” with Homayounpour and Rabbit Goody. The gallery will open at 4:30 p.m.
