The traditional “Concerts In The Park” series will continue in Richfield Springs this summer.
The concerts will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays in Spring Park on U.S. Route 20. The concerts, sponsored by the Richfield Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held rain or shine in the historic bandstand or covered pavilion. Those who attend should bring a lawn chair or blanket. Dancing is welcome.
The schedule is as follows:
June 12: Matt Chase – Thunder Canyon, featuring “some old, some new and some classic country too,” according to a media release.
June 19: “Glimmerglass Festival,” a season preview presented by the Young Artists.
July 3: Helen Makosymicz’s Dixieland Band, featuring a variety of music from polka, show tunes and opera to dixieland.
July 10: The Oldies Show Band, featuring music from the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s
July 17: Double Image, performing contemporary, country, rock, oldies and requests.
July 24: Olde Time Fiddlers, New York State Central Chapter, presenting familiar music “and fun,” the release said.
July 31: Jay & Nick of Floodwood, playing Americana progressive new bluegrass.
Aug. 7: Small Town Big Band, playing selections from the Big Band era and classics.
Aug. 14: New Horizons Barbershop Chorus and individual quartets, singing a capella in the barbershop style
Aug. 21: Nelson Brothers Band, featuring classic country.
