The Sidney Community Band will be featured at the Pathfinder Village Pavilion at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 21. The concert is free, and the public is invited, according to a media release from Pathfinder Village.
“The rich tradition of community musical groups continues through groups like the Sidney Community Band,” Pathfinder Village’s director of enrichment programs Paula Schaeffer said in the release.
The Sidney Community Band has been entertaining audiences since 1984, and serves as a way for area musicians to continue performing once they graduate from high school.
The band numbers about 30 members from the Tri-town area of Sidney, Bainbridge and Unadilla.
Its repertoire includes pop tunes, traditional marches and show tunes.
Concert-goers are asked to bring lawn chairs, wear comfortable shoes, and bring jackets to the performances. Parking is available on-site.
To find out more about the concert series, call Pathfinder Village at 965-8377, ext. 126, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or visit Pathfinder’s fan page on the social networking site, Facebook.
