More than 250 people participated in the Clark Sports Center annual Coop Loop 5 K on Sunday.

For the first time, the event welcomed people to come in costume. Some showed up dressed up, while others opted not to.

The men’s record was broken by Josh Edmonds this year. It was held by Mike Rutledge with a time of 16:28, set in 2009. The women’s record is held by Merle Myerson with a time of 19:52, set in 2001. Samantha Fanion took the best time in the women’s division this year with at time of 21:13.

According to the Clark Sports Center website, the race is run on a moderately difficult course having the runner navigate the roads of Cooperstown. This marked the 11th year of the event.

Top 10 finishers included Edmonds of Cooperstown (15:24), Michael Boyle of Milford(19:22), Ros Medvid of Cooperstown (19:49), Blake Elliot of Milford (19:53), Carlo Cuccaro of Cooperstown (20:05), Jacob Miller of Cooperstown (20:14), Ben Breiten of Cooperstown (20:15), Andrew Rock Of Cooperstown (20:29), Jake Burnham of Hartwick (20:22) and David Roy of Schoharie (20:24).
