Milford won another pair of games from rival Cherry Valley-Springfield on Monday, with home wins in baseball and softball.

The Wildcat boys clinched a share of the Tri-Valley East title on Monday with an 18-3 win over the Patriots. The Patriots will play Edmeston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Oneonta State in the Tri-Valley cross over. Edmeston beat Milford 8-1 in the 2013 cross-over game. 

Richfield Springs and Edmeston will play in the girls cross-over game, also Friday at Oneonta State. 

Blake Elliott went 3-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs to lead Milford in a game that was called after five innings because of darkness.

Max Lang went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, two of which came in the Wildcats’ six-run fourth inning. Milford (10-3, 10-2) followed with six more runs in the fifth, which was highlighted by Ryan Lewis’ two-run triple.

The Wildcats honored winning pitcher Steven Banks and Wyatt Waters on Senior Appreciation Night.

In softball, Maddy Zenir went 3-for-3, including a home run in the second inning, to lead host Milford to a 13-2 victory over CV-S .

Kaley Chase had two hits, including a two-run single in the second inning that helped Milford (7-5, 7-5) to a 6-1 lead.

Natasha Skillen, who also had two hits, contributed a two-run single in the third inning.
